Community Hours recognises the enormous and ongoing efforts of all volunteers and partner organisations during 2022. This has been an incredible year for everyone, and you have worked tirelessly to uplift communities, support shelters, engage with people & animals, and you have volunteered virtually in support of food scarcity, educational aids and other ongoing acts of kindness.
Almost 22 years of volunteering (measured in hours) have been verified this year, and collaboratively Community Hours volunteers have risen to the many many challenges set to us all. Thank You, for all that you have done, and Thank You for all the kindness you have shown, we are overwhelmed by your ongoing commitments and generosity of spirit.
Community Hours will be taking a holiday break between 15 December 2022 and10 January 2023, any volunteering you do during this time will be verified during January of next year. Many organisations are taking a well-deserved break at this time too, but some are still open and continue to need your help – if you are wanting to volunteer, we suggest you call ahead to check days and times available to you – but, take a look at the newsletter on its way to you with a quick snapshot of some volunteering opportunities we know are still happening during December and early January.
Wherever you are spending your summer holiday, we hope that it will be a good one! Relaxing at home or travelling, be safe and have a wonderful break …. you deserve it!
