Kate and Kaylee

Kate and Kaylee from @kingsmeadcollege sent Community Hours these gorgeous photographs of the puppies which they took care of while on holiday in the Eastern Cape. Kate and Kaylee spent their time bathing, drying, brushing and treating young puppies for a variety of skin conditions at the St Francis Animal Rescue centre, AND, in consultation with the Susan who is the Chairperson of the Rescue centre, they also fostered four 6 week old puppies and helped them to find their “forever homes” in Johannesburg. The young volunteers told us that ”It was such an amazing experience and is one we will never forget! Saving those puppies lives just warmed our hearts!” Thank you Kate and Kaylee for reminding us that Volunteering can take place wherever you are …. Even when you are on holiday!

Donations of CASH are very important and offer a lifeline to so many organizations. Unfortunately, we are not able to verify Volunteering Hours for cash donations – HOWEVER, should you choose to make a donation of cash – we encourage you to log your donation as a GOODWILL donation, and in this way, your contribution will be tracked and acknowledged on your profile , and will reflect on your reports and you will be able to draw a certificate in support of your community impact. BUT no hours will be allocated to any cash donations.
Should you make a donation – please be so kind as to email a copy of your EFT to events@communityhours.co.za, showing the charity you have chosen to support, after you have logged your activity. In this way we can verify your donation and thank you for being such an active and mindful citizen.
